VOTING FOR NEW BOARD MEMBERS BEGINS TODAY, OCTOBER 10, AND CONCLUDES AT THE CLUB MEETING NOVEMBER 15, 2018.
The following is a "synopsis" for the selection process, duties and term of service for Executive as well as At Large Board Members for the upcoming 2019-2021 Term. Please note that to serve on the Board, you MUST be an active MCA member. There are a total of nine (9) vacancies - four (4) Executive Members and five (5) At Large Board members. You may nominate yourself for any position you wish to assume on the Board. You may also nominate anyone else for a position. The final vote for all nine (9) Board of Directors positions will be held at the November 15, 2018 club meeting. You must be present to vote or have provided an "absentee" ballot in compliance with the "rules" provided - see below.
ARTICLE VIII
Board of Directors
Section 1. BOARD OF DIRECTORS – The Board of Directors shall be comprised of the following elected members; President, Vice-President, Secretary, Treasurer, and five (5) Board members. No member shall hold more than one elected office.
Section 2. ELECTION AND TERM – The Board of Directors shall be elected by official ballot at the November meeting every two (2) years and shall serve for a period of two (2) years commencing in January of the coming year. All members of the Board of Directors shall be active members of the Corporation and the National Club.

Voting for the Executive Officers and Board of Directors shall be done by Official Ballot, by members present at the regular meeting on the third Thursday of November. Absentee ballots may be requested by members unable to attend the meeting. All absentee ballots must be received by the Nominating Committee not later than the third Thursday in November.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR THIS YEAR'S ELECTION, THE FOLLOWING WILL APPLY: In this event, the absentee ballots must be received by Henry Johs, (henryjohs@gmail.com) no later than 5:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2018. Send them to henryjohs@gmail.com.
TIMELINE:
November 12: Your Board member nominations should be sent to henryjohs@gmail.com by 5:00 p.m. CST.
November 13: Henry Johs will email a listing of all nominees to all Club members by 5:00 p.m.
November 14: All Club members NOT ATTENDING the Club meeting on the 15th need to select from the Nov. 13 email listing those persons whom they are voting / nominating and email your response to henryjohs@gmail.com by 5:00 p.m.
November 15-Club meeting: Final request for nominees from those in attendance. Once obtained, voting/nomination closed. Final vote tally by Jim Chism and Randy Pickens for selection of new Board members.
