CRUISE UPDATE: NOTE: Jan 18th cruise RESCHEDULED for SATURDAY JANUARY 25th

The weather forecast has done as it often does in Tennessee, turned not so good for Saturday January 18th. We are going to keep the Mustangs dry and everyone safe and move one week.

Please read all the way to the bottom. There is additional information regarding an added ending option for the rescheduled cruise. We hope that you are able to join us for the revised date of January 25th. We look forwarding to seeing each of you!

CRUISE ORGANIZER/LEADER: Bob Winland/Gary Allen

MEET AT: Dodson Family Health Center (aka Sumner County Health Department), located in the northeast part of Gallatin at 1005 Union School Road, at the corner with TN 174. (same location as previous winter cruises)

MEET TIME: 9:15 AM for a 9:30 departure,

ROUTE: Rural two lanes through northern TN and southern KY. Includes driving through Amish country.

FIRST STOP: Habegger’s Amish Market, where they have bulk candy, baking and canning supplies, single-serve fried pies, and deli sandwiches. They have a small one-stall restroom there.

SECOND STOP: Caseys Store, at edge of Scottsville, for fuel and restrooms (brief stop)

FINAL STOP: Buc-ee’s at the intersection of I-65 and KY 101 at Smiths Grove KY. We will enter from the south non-interstate side to avoid traffic.

At the Buc-ee’s stop, feel free to shop, buy a sandwich, buy snacks, people watch, conversations etc. You can head on back if you like on back when you are ready, OR ADDITIONAL STOP OPTION; you can elect to continue just a bit further to Horse Cave, KY and we will complete this optional stop at Farmwald’s Dutch Bakery & Deli, a Dutch Restaurant.

TOTAL DISTANCE: 77 miles one way to Buc-ee’s. IF you add last stop at Farmwald,s in Horse Cave KY, it will bring the TOTAL REVISED DISTANCE to 122 miles. Estimated time (including the two intermediate stops) is approximately 3hrs 15 min. See you soon!
